A slope equaliser is used to compensate the unequal attenuation (loss) at various frequencies through long cableruns so that the signal is equal at the end of the cable no matter the frequency. E.g. -1 dB attenuation at 45 MHz and -18 dB attenuation at 862 MHz which is the FTA band.
The LE862F will adjust for that effect by attenuating thelower frequencies more than the higher frequencies.
